TypingDNA is delivering its typing biometrics solution for Microsoft Azure Active Directory B2C clients providing frictionless multi-factor authentication

TypingDNA’s typing biometrics Authentication API now works with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) B2C to ensure seamless authentication. TypingDNA’s proprietary AI technology recognizes people by the way they type on their keyboards and will enable  Azure AD B2C customers to have comprehensive and robust protection against sophisticated threats such as password spray and brute force attacks.

Azure AD B2C is a customer identity access management (CIAM) solution capable of supporting millions of users and billions of authentications per day. Azure AD B2C customers use the platform to facilitate identity verification and proofing by collecting user data. Further, TypingDNA Authentication API can be used to create risk-based authentication (RBA) workflows by performing validation, trust scoring, and user account creation without adding friction to end-users. The integration of TypingDNA results in a secure, human-centered, custom-branded identity solution that solves compliance requirements.

“We are delighted to work with Microsoft Azure Active Directory B2C and drive digital transformation by offering both seamless user experience and security”, explains Tudor Goicea, Chief Revenue Officer at TypingDNA. “This collaboration extends to providing companies with innovative typing biometrics technology used for a range of authentication situations and various global compliance requirements.”

“With increased growth in account takeover fraud and a broader array of digital threats, we are pleased with the collaboration with TypingDNA to enhance seamless authentication. Together we help our customers improve account security in a frictionless manner”, says Sue Bohn, Partner Director of Program Experience, Microsoft Identity Division, at Microsoft Corp.

Innovative authentication alternatives using behavioral biometrics result in reduced customer churn rates, better engagement, and stealth security. The number of data breaches across the world increased 56.4 percent from 2018 to 2019, with the average successful attack causing damages between $100,000 and $500,000

Azure AD B2C customers looking to protect against account takeover can implement typing biometrics to achieve stellar user experiences and reduced drop-offs. Clients, unlike employees, are prone to abandon account creation if the identity verification or online security measures add too much friction to the sign-up flow. The integration of TypingDNA’s solution is suitable for companies looking to create passive Risk-Based Authentication and Multi-Factor-Authentication workflows in highly regulated industries such as banking and financial services, online education, or governmental institutions.

Already, various customers in core industries rely on behavioral biometrics technology provided by TypingDNA to securely authenticate users and address compliance. TypingDNA is used by multiple banks in Europe to ensure compliance with the European Banking Authority Strong Customer Authentication requirements. Other clients, such as online learning organizations in the United States, achieve DMV requirements and other online proctoring regulations with typing biometrics.
